Rockstar has answered the collector's edition question, with a twist. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a limited-edition collectible box priced at $399.99 in the US, £349.99 in the UK and €399.99 in Europe, available to pre-order now on the Rockstar Store and shipping from November 19. Rockstar says it is made in small quantities and sold while supplies last.
The box holds 11 pieces of Leonida-themed merchandise rather than any in-game content: a six-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment, matte-black GTA VI Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City embellishments, and a double-sided poster carrying a map of Leonida among the rest. The game itself is not included, so buyers still need a Standard or Ultimate Edition.
Why it matters: this changes the answer to a question every pre-order page has been getting wrong for months. There is now an official collector's product, but it is merchandise, not a game edition, and it does not change the two editions, the prices, or the Vintage Vice City Pack bonus window. Anyone who wants the box and the game is looking at roughly $480 before tax.
